Platform: Risk Assessment
Applies to: User roles; e.g. Standard and Approver
The purpose of this feature is to manage all 'actions' from a central location.
Use actions to stay on top of activities required to improve your risk assessments and/or close compliance gaps.
Note: 'Actions' is a term encompassing Actions, Incidents, Issues, and Findings.
The Actions and Incidents page lists all actions that are not closed. To view closed actions, use the Status filter and select the Closed status.
New actions can be created from within the Risk Assessment or from the Actions and Incidents page.
Existing actions can be linked to the Risk Assessment's Risks, Controls, and Report pages.
Creating an action
Creating actions from the Actions and Incidents page
- Open the To Do menu and select Actions and Incidents
- Press the Add Details button
- Complete the details in the popup window
- Press Add to finish.
Creating actions from the Risk Assessment
- Open the risk, control, or report in the assessment > assessment unit.
- Find the Actions section and use the:
- New button (
) to create a new action; or
- Link button (
) to link to an existing action
- New button (
- Complete the details in the popup window
- Press Add or Save finish.
Completing or editing the details
- Title - enter a title
- Description - enter a description, such as the action required
- Resolution - enter a resolution when it is ready to be closed
- Type - select the type: Action, Finding, Incident, or Issue
- Status - defaults to "Open" and can be changed to In-Progress, On Hold, or Closed
- Created - displays the creation date and creator; cannot be edited
- Priority - set the priority; defaults to "Low" and can be changed to Medium or High
- Owner - set an owner; the owner is sent reminder notification emails
- Due Date - select a due date
- Related links - displays the risks, controls, and/or reports it is linked to
- Comments - additional space for extra commentary
Working with actions and issues
Find specific actions using the Search function, or the column filters on the Actions and Issues page.
To export actions to CSV use the Export button () at the upper right.
To edit an action use the Edit button () in the last column.
To view the audit trail for an action open the action menu () and select Audit Trail.
