The FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) gathers and releases crime data covering state-level crime data and county-level data in the United States. In order to understand the location of your business and assess your location crime risk, please follow the following steps:
- Visit the FBI Crime Data Explorer HERE and navigate to Documents & Downloads. Under the National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS) Tables section, select State from the Tables drop-down menu, then choose the Year and Location. Click VIEW PDF to see the number of offenses reported by the sheriff's office or county police department.
