Overview
The purpose of the Company Information section is to provide background information about the company that is having the AML Program Manual conducted and to determine some basic demographic information, as well as, information that ascertains the nature, size and complexity of the regulated entity.
The Company Information section is comprised of 5 sub-sections:
- General
- Address Details
- Business Profile
- AML Compliance Oversight
- Regulator/Supervisor
1. General
The first section in the Company Information section is General Information which captures the following information:
- Legal Status
- Legal Name
- Trading Name
- Country of Incorporation / Regulation
- Date of Incorporation / Regulation
- Name of the Registration Body
- Registration Number (if applicable)
Note:
- Each field includes a tooltip ( ) , when hovered explains the required information for that specific field.
- There are red asterick ( * ) symbols indicating required (mandatory) fields.
- There are also non-mandatory fields that can be left blank if they are not relevant to your business. If left blank, these fields will not appear in your report.
2. Address Details
The second section in the Company Information section is Address Details which captures the following information:
- Registered Office Address
- Principal Place of Business (if different to Registered Office Address)
3. Business Profile
The purpose of collecting business profile information is to assess the nature, size and complexity of the organisation's business.
There are two key components within the Business Profile information section:
- Organisation Size and Structure
- Business Operations
3.1 Organisation Size and Structure
The information that is required to be provided in this section includes:
- Annual Revenues of the Organisation
- Approximate number of Customers
- Number of Outlets/Branches or Offices
- Number of Employees
3.2 Complexity of the Business
The information that is required to be provided in this section includes:
- Is the business part of a group or a subsidiary of another entity?
- Does the business deal with any of the following intermediaries?
- Do any owners or shareholders hold more than 25% of the business' issued share capital?

4. AML Compliance Oversight
The AML laws and regulations require that a reporting entity's Board appoints a Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), which is also often referred to as an AML Compliance Officer or Nominated Contact Officer.
Regardless of the title given to this role by regulatory authorities in different jurisdictions, this delegated Board function is important since it assigns responsibility and accountability to an individual (or set of individuals) for providing sufficient governance and oversight in designing, implementing and maintaining an AML compliant set of systems, policies and procedures.
The fourth section in the Company Information section is AML Compliance Oversight which captures the following information:
- Date of Registration (if applicable) - reflecting the date of the appointment to the role
- Full Name
- Position/Title
- Address (line 1, 2, city/town/suburb, state/country and postcode)
- Country
- Contact details
- Alternative or Delegate Contact Details
5. Regulator/Supervisor
The Regulatory Information relates to the name of the appointed regulator that is responsible for oversight and enforcement of compliance with the AML laws and regulations.
In many jurisdictions, the AML regulators require reporting entities to specifically file an application to register the details of the reporting entity, so the information collected on this page includes:
The final section in the Company Information section is Regulatory Information which captures the following information:
- Name of AML Regulator
- Regulator Registration Number (if applicable)
- Date of Registration
