Question
- My approved risk factor reopens when I edit the control - why is this happening?
- Why does editing a mapped control cause the linked risk factor to reopen?
- How do I stop my linked risk factors from reopening when conducting my control assessment?
- Why does updating a linked control undo the approved status of my risk factor?
Answer
By default, the system reopens risk factors when their control effectiveness rating changes due to the mapped controls’ rating changing.
This allows the assignee and approver to review the ratings and apply overrides or comments as needed.
To disable this behaviour, adjust the 'Risk Factor Reopen' setting:
- Go into your Company Settings.
- Select Do not reopen
To learn more about Company Settings, see Application Customisation - Company Settings
