FAQ: How to bulk update assignees and approver?

Question

• Can I add an assignee to multiple risk factors at once?
• Where can I assign assignees to multiple controls?
• How to quickly assign assignees or approvers in the assessment unit?

The Risk Analysis and Control Assessment require an assignee and an approver assigned before it can be completed. While you can assign them individually, it's more efficient to manage this process within the Workflow page of your assessment unit.

Answer

In your assessment unit, navigate to the Workflow page.

There are three tabs available for selection:

• Workflow summary - View the status of all risk factors and controls, along with their assigned assignees/approvers and overall progress.
• Assign risk factors - A list of risk factors in the model with options to assign assignees and approvers for each.
• Assign controls - A list of controls added to the assessment unit with options to assign assignees and approvers for each. Controls are added to the assessment unit from the Controls Assessment page.

Assigning users to risk factors or controls

1. Use the checkboxes on the left to select the risks or controls to allocate.
2. Select users from the assignee and approver dropdown lists.
3. Press the Update button.

Note: If only one approver is assigned, they must be different from the assignee. If multiple approvers are assigned, one can also be the assignee, as long as another approver is different.
